bdla International working group meeting, Brussels - Belgium

Steffi Schüppel chaired the yearly meeting of the bdla's International Working Group at the liaison office of the Federal Chamber of Architects in Brussels at the end of May 2025.
Central to the meeting was an exchange at the EU Commission's Berlaymont building with the cabinet of the EU Climate Commissioner on COP30 preparations, alongside discussions with EU representatives on housing and environmental policy – including an explicit invitation for continued professional engagement. With the President and Vice-President of IFLA Europe, key advocacy topics were aligned at the European association level. The meeting reaffirmed that the bdla's international network is effectively bringing landscape architecture perspectives into European policy-making.
